THE PHOTOGRAPHER

I am a London based photographer shooting all manner of subjects, from sports to urban landscapes. However, my true passion lies in capturing inspiring images of wildlife and the natural world.

I studied Art, including art history, photography, and design, for five years. For the last ten years I have worked as a Digital Artist for a major entertainment company in London. I have passion for all aspects of Art, Photography and also Motion Pictures.

I first discovered a love for photography as a child. My early attempts were made using was plastic film camera that I won in an art competition. Over the years I have used a number of film and digital cameras. Today, I predominantly use Nikon Digital SLR equipment.

I feel the camera is simply a tool that I use, the brand is not as important as the creative process itself. Digital photography allows me to capture and present an image exactly as I wish it to be seen.

THE IMAGES

Each image is captured with care and attention to quality. Each is also individually processed in order to maintain the highest quality.

I always attempt to capture the image as precisely  as possible ’in camera’. I use retouching very sparingly and try to only remove dust spots or other minor imperfections. I do not believe in removing or adding things from/to a photo.

I mainly use only four ‘styles’. These are full natural looking colour, black and white, sepia and a cool tone blue. For some black and white photos I process the image to make it appear more “film like”, enhancing the sharpness, grain, and texture.

Some of the images are slightly smaller than others if I have used a crop to creative effect, and conversely some of the images are larger, where I have stitched multiple images together.
